Happy 13th Birthday, Courtnie

This girl is 13... An official teenager!!! On this day 13 years ago, I was in the hospital and received good news - my amniotic sac had fixed it's hole and my amniotic fluid was rebuilding. Little did we know that a few hours later, Ms. Courtnie would make her appearance anyway!! Born 6 weeks early at 4lb 12oz, this feisty baby entered our lives. Happy Birthday baby girl!! I am so proud of the lady you are growing into.

I tagged along as a chaperone on the 3rd grade field trip this year.  I admit, I was wondering why I had signed myself up for this but was surprised at how organized and efficient this museum was.  Not only was it educational in a casual manner, they held the kids' attention at every location with different activities.  Kudos to this place!  I was impressed!!

Shady Trees

Me: "Listen kids, I'm serious. We are in... um... a 'shady' area and I need you to stay close to me. All the time. Do not wander, stay close to me the entire time."
Cameron: "She means ghetto."
Courtnie: "Sketch!"
